A section of 127 Street in the northwest of Edmonton was closed down on Wednesday after a deadly collision for pedestrians.
Just before 8:30 p.m., the police said 127 Street had closed to traffic in both directions between 127 and 128 routes "as the police investigated a serious collision."
On-street officers confirmed that a pedestrian had been killed. No more details about the event were released.
Shortly after 9 p.m., a number of police & police stations were underway. It could be seen that officers were collected around a dark colored car with damage to the front driver side.
It is expected that the road will be closed for several hours on Wednesday.
The police said more information would be released as it became available.
