The Peel police are asking for the help of the public as they look for a woman and a baby who could be in medical distress after officers found blood and pots in the Mississauga park.
Police were called just before 4 p.m. Monday about what they call "suspicious circumstances" at Sugar Maple Woods Park, near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Britannia Road West. When they arrive at the park, they found blood, powers and "other evidence that is consistent with birth," according to a news release.
The police are concerned about the welfare of the mother and the child.
Researchers ask anyone with information to call the Peel police at 905-453-2121, est. 1133 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
