PROFIAITHWYR have had slammed beauty bloggers who claim they have the answer to treat wrinkles – dredging raw eggs on their faces.
The DIY hack, they say, is not just completely fake, but it could also spread harmful bacteria.
Cosmetic surgeon, Christopher Inglefield, is concerned that raw egg masks will mean that Brits are having problems with food poisoning due to contamination of uncooked foods.
Mr Inglefield, founder of the Bridge Bridge Plastic Surgery clinic, warned: "Not only is this ineffective practice, it could be possible to spread harmful bacteria, such as Campylobacter and even salmonella if you are truly unlucky.
"Always wash your hands after treating raw eggs.
"If it's on your face throughout the day then you may contaminate everything and everyone you touch it. Just think about the risks."
Over the past year, they have been on YouTube trying to persuade that raw eggs can make a real difference to the appearance of skin skin – especially around the eyes.
Bloggers such as Beauty Vixxen, AKA Lizbeth Eguia, have uploaded tutorial videos showing how eggs masks are "as a transformation".
"Botox can be very expensive, so this will be a burden that will cost zero dollars if you've already had an egg in your house.
"And I know you're worried that you're smelling eggs, but you will not want this to be a very small amount."
But raw eggs bring a number of risks – especially salmonella.
The NHS advises: "There may be bacteria on the shell as well as the inside of the egg, which can spread very easily to other foods, as well as hands, equipment and workshops . "
They also instruct: "Keep eggs away from other foods – when they are in the shell and after cracking them.
"Be careful not to splash eggs on foods, workshops or other meals.
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that causes food poisoning. People tend to get from foods such as meat, eggs or milk.
It can be fatal

Salmonella rates have dropped dramatically in recent years but in order to avoid it, it is better for you to avoid raw and unpasteurized raw eggs, as well as washing hands when you & # 39; n cooking.
"Wash your hands thoroughly with warm and soapy water, then dry them after touching or working with eggs.
"Clean surfaces, dishes and appliances thoroughly using soap water after treating eggs.
"Do not use eggs with damaged shell, because dirt or bacteria may have come inside them."
The skin aesthetist, Candice Brown, also warned beauty lovers to be vigilant of raw egg facemasks.
Candice added, along with Bridge London's Plastic Surgery: "Of course, the risk of raw eggs is not limited to the eyelift white egg.
"The warning also stands for raw egg facemasks, which have grown in popularity in recent years as they are said to fight deep areas and blackheads.
"These home-to-day treatments are obviously attractive because they are cheap and naturally appearing.
"But you always need to be aware of the hazards. You would not spray raw chicken on your face, but this is the same principle."
Dr Adil Sheraz, Consultant Dermatologist and British Foundation Foundation spokesman told The Sun, said: "As far as I know, there have been no trials looking at the advantages of raw egg white on the skin to reduce wrinkles.
"As doctors and dermatologists, we always like following evidence-based medicine treatments that are recommended by dermatologists through a thorough research process and are known to be safe.
"The raw thing can not be said about raw eggs, not only are we uncertain about the actual benefits, there are risks (although there are small ones) contracting infections such as salmonella and this risk in more people in immunity, children and pregnant women.
"There are a number of inexpensive, expensive and expensive expensive products that are known to be safe and thoroughly tested that can be used on the skin to reduce the reduction and reduction in the wrinkle. "
Actually, Dr Sarah Jarvis told the Sun that "people have nothing to earn at all".
"The white eggs are rarely from the name of the album, and each cook will tell you that you are sticky as it dries. It may keep eyelids open but that's The only way it will affect your appearance.
"It could be irritating eyelids, causing redness and moisture. It is also likely that it will be difficult to give the best away, so you may have to finish a scrub in your eyelids fine.
