Peel Regional Police said an investigation was underway after a suspicious package was located at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Wednesday.
The pack was found at 8:45 p.m. in Terminal 1 at the airport.
Toronto Pearson International Airport said on Twitter that the package in question is a piece of unsupervised bags found on the third floor of the terminal.
"This is on the public side so only after the counter checked but before the security," Const. Akhil Mooken told CP24 of the scene.
The Divisional Peel Police Service explosive device unit has to drop in.
A part of the affected terminal has been closed down as an investigation has been carried out.
Peel police said they were advising passengers to check their flight status before going to the airport.
