A van has been clapped into the night pole of Friday Kitchener, before becoming flames.
The video viewers take seconds after the collision shows witnesses rushing to the vehicle, opening the doors and pulling the people out on the pavement.
Flames then flared at the top of the van, sending thick smoke to the sky.
The accident happened on Gaukel Street near the Charles Street bus terminus.
Brendan Fischer saw the crash across the street.
“I turned around to see him speeding past, plowing in there… I didn't know what to do.” T
Several witnesses tell CTV News that the vehicle is traveling at high speed before the accident.
The police have confirmed that there are a number of people inside the van.
They say that serious injuries, but it's not clear how many people were hurt.
The police have closed the area around the scene of an accident.
A previous version of this story said that the van had hit the building.
