Environment Minister Catherine McKenna said the federal government was planning to pay money from a climate fund directly to the organizations and businesses of Ontario after the provincial government canceled its climate program.
Speaking on the Rockwool insulation plant in Milton, Ont. McKenna said Thursday that $ 420 million waiting for Ontario of the Low Carbon Economy Fund will go to cities, hospitals, universities, schools and businesses to help with efficiency programs and other emission reduction efforts .
