WWE's former star, JBL, sent a series of last night's tweets aimed at Cody Rhodes, one of whom said he would kill the wrestler – but Layfield has now apologized, confessing he was drinking too much.
Do not miss … JTT also tweeted saying that Cody was a tool, not in his league and could beat Rhodes any day in a game (even though he had retired).
On Friday, however, Layfield changed his melody. "She had fun with Cody last night and said I'd kill Cody Rhodes, I did not clearly mean that literally," he said on Twitter. "It was a very poor choice of words, I'm going back with him and my family and I'm talking about smoking in a sense of fighting. I apologize for the poor words."
He added, "I was not unfortunate to Dusty. That's the case when Cowboys' elation wins, my birthday, smack and booze mix."
Public figures, here's a lot: Do not drink and tweet. Usually it does not stop well.
