Following a year of disclosures about Amazon treatment for employees, privacy breach products, and huge government tax returns, some people cancel their Prime Amazon members in protest.
But biking one feature of a company that has builders in every nook and cranny your life online is going to do a lot in the way to actually hurt Amazon. Amazon Web Services is a great backbone on the internet and it's all-impossible to avoid. A first subscription costs $ 12.99 per month. Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world and has more money than God. In 2017, Amazon accounted for 44 percent of all US e-commerce sales.
You will never give Amazon a consumer debt by canceling Main. It's more fun – and it can be argued, more effective – to grit in the gears. That is why I intend not to pay for Prime, and instead use free trials instead.
I've been doing this for years, and on the way to perfect this quickly, I've been fused once or twice, so you can learn from my mistakes.
Step 1: Open a new email account
You are likely to use your everyday email address in the Prime test in the past, which means that you can not use it again for a free new test. Open your favorite email-Yahoo, AOL, MSN-and start new address. I avoid making Gmail burners because I used Google products for many things and this could be confusing. Do not use one of those fake email address services (such as Fake Email or Guerrilla Mail) that do not actually give you access to a secure internal box, because you will need to use & # 39 ; r internal boxes to confirm your trial and check order updates.
Note: Most email providers will limit the number of accounts that you can open with the same telephone number. As you connect to this email and in the ultimate Amazon account to your credit card details, you'll probably want to enable verification of two factors as well. If you want to be safe, you could buy a free phone and use that number for receiving 2fa text codes.
When you hit a ceiling, move on to the next email client. There are hundreds out there. One day, if I live to be hundreds of years old, I will run out of email clients. But that's like thinking about the heat-death of the universe: I do not.
Step 2: Get a password manager
This is an essential part of the game. Do not throw. Take it from me – you'll want an easy way to keep these logins straight away, after you make a dozen couples. Not only will you need to remember the login applications for your Amazon account, but also all the burner email accounts.

Use Lastpass or your optional password manager, if you do not already have one. Using a password manager will also help make your life online more generally secure.
Step 3: Start your trial
Record any Amazon account you already have and start a new one with the email address that you did. From there, hit Try Prime, anywhere on site. You can find it, it's fucking everywhere and never letting you alone. Continue and "try" Prime.
It will ask you to add your credit card, but that's fine. We're going to make sure Amazon does not charge it for the First Minister in a minute.
Currently, Amazon does not seem to force strict rules about how many free trials one person can register. Some people in this Reddit yarn have said that Amazon stops their trials after about 30 records. Amazon Prime's terms and conditions do not say that you can not keep trial trials for free, although it says that the company "can terminate your first membership at our discretion without notice."
I sent an Amazon email to ask if or how to monitor new Main Accounts, and they will update if I hear back.
Step 4: End your trial
Jeff Bezos is in spray time. Immediately after the trial starts, come straight to finish.
To do this, go to your Account in the top bar, then Prime. It may take a minute to implement your trial – there is very little time when you register when these options are available – but then you will see a breakdown of your membership on the left sidebar . Near the bottom, a link that says "Final Trials and Benefits" or "Remind me before refurbishing." Remember, you probably will not check which email address you have joined, so you want end it is not reminiscent.

This fan is led by the most obvious user experience path I have. Stay carefully, and keep "Canceling My Benefits", even as the website tries to allow you to stay.
After a few attempts to keep you, you'll get a page to cancel. In a small print, you will find that this option ends your membership at the end of a month, and you are free to use the trial benefits until then.
I learned a lesson about not canceling the hard way right away. I have forgotten to finish a trial and see that I'm accused of Amazon for membership for months without realizing – and I did not have the idea of which e-mail address was guilty. I had to log in to all Amazon accounts and an emailbox (I had forgotten passwords almost because I was not using Lastpass again), trying to find out the person who is punished and cancel subscription. Do not be like me, I want you to avoid this error.
Step 5: Living your life
You are free to use all Prime benefits for the next 30 days, no charge. Sometimes I put a reminder on my calendar when it comes to an end, so I'll know when to renew it if necessary. But because you have brought the test to an end just as it started, you do not need to remind yourself, and in fact, the website will remind you that your benefits will end every time you log in. Obviously, you do not have to repeat This process every 30 days on the dot-you can do a new one whenever you need it.
Bonus step: Look in
Make a little acceleration about how often you will use Amazon Prime for a little dumb boy you could raise in a small local shop. Someday, Amazon probably will change how it will check new accounts. Maybe today is that day. Until then, you can live fast and die with free shipping.
