Elizabeth May is getting married. The Green Party announced May's engagement on Twitter Monday afternoon, sharing a picture of the 64-year-old leader kissing at the Senedd Library by his fiancé John Kidder.
In his own tweet, May said "never been happier".
There is an online record of the time Kidder ran for the Green Party of British Columbia saying he was born in the Northwest Territories and studying at UBC before working as a cowboy, in mining, such as a pipe tier , as a fish buyer and in a warehouse before becoming a technology company entrepreneur.
Now, Kidder runs his father's eye farm at Ashcroft, B.C.
As of May, Kidder has a political streak. He ran for the Canadian Liberal Party in Okanagan-Coquihalla at the 2011 federal election, giving a third. Kidder told Penticton Western News that he had met May in 2013 when he was running for the B.C. The peasant and friendship turned something more in September.
I have one daughter. Kidder is a father of three.
We have a very special announcement.
