Welcome, friends, to Canada & Hockey Hockey Evening as we set ourselves up tonight between Edmonton Oilers and Tampa Bay Lightning. This is the last game before Christmas holidays and it would be very nice if the boys could go back in the column before we all came out here.
With the Oilers not playing since Tuesday, we've had all the time to spread and pour over everything that has gone out of place on this strike, losing a game, and also designing a plan for Everything that had to change. As a fan, solving your team's universe problems is part of the package and we've had the most weeks to do it exactly. A big topic around here is the way Ken Hitchcock has given her new lines with each other and that will help get some men. We've got a Draisaitl back to focus on the second line, the Llinyn Gritensity gets tweak with Lucic getting the pump, and Jesse Puljujarvi gets her best chance so far this season as he goes to; right hand side with McNuge. We did not see that Hitchcock changed all of his stuff since he was behind the bench, but he guaranteed the spinning compressor after turning two ugly games against Vancouver and St. Louis.
As long as Christmas presents are going, get your last game before the cuts against Tampa Bay Lightning when you're stuck in the vicinity of a streak lose two games like having a lump of coal under the tree when you were expecting for new Pogs. Unnecessarily to say, this will not be an easy game to try the ship properly and I would lie if I said I was not a bit nervous. Tampa has the ability to set goals in crews and with Edmonton loses two of the best defender (three if you have a Sekera) then you have the potential for a long night, and that's before doing so Even so factoring comes in less than 12 hours. If the Oilers are already thinking about going home for families for a few days instead of focusing on this game then we will all have a bad time. Given the injuries and supposition of general special teams late, we will need everyone on the same page and plug on all cylinders.
Then again, would anyone really be surprised if the Oilers gave a presentation tonight? Recently, I've found that the Oilers have played a bit for a bit of competition, so maybe a date with the best of the alliance and what exactly do they need to be fired? Desirable thinking? I mean, I know that was not the case when the Oilers met the Mellt back in November, a game that was lost quite well, but I & # 39 ; I still think that a man should be allowed to believe in Christmas miracles. In order to give it a slight, win against Tampa Bay Lightning would be a bit off in the break and a simple gift that I think all Oilers supporters could use it at the moment. Given the rollermaaster this season has been so far, I believe that there would be two points present to the team and supporters. And besides, win tonight would mean more to the Oilers than it would do to the Mellt anyway and this is the season of giving.
Happy Holidays, everyone! Enjoy the game.

On Thursday, Gregor held the new lines and the power combinations and does not say that Hitchcock is going for a new look. With the team dropping their last two games in a disappointing fashion, the Oilers needed to be replaced and these new trials may be what the machines will fired again. Unnecessarily to say, should the Oilers ever have some scoring of each of their four lines, it would be a very good tonight to start.

Tampa Bay Lightning has eight players with 20 points or more. When compared, the Oilers have three. Unnecessarily to say, we will need a full time Hitchcockian lock and some prayers answered by the Hockey Knot if we want to keep them off the board.
The two players that Tampa Bay have included include Connor McDavid (obviously) and Leon Draisaitl. McDavid has 16 points in his last 10 games and Draisaitl has 14 points in the same part. Alex Chiasson was a scoring machine with 15 goals this season. That is given third on the team, just behind McDavid and Vraisaitl. It also shoots in a 31% hurt. But Tampa Bay has the talent throughout the line to mitigate its effect. The biggest issue I see for Edmonton is their obvious lack of scoring depth in the past McDavid (49), Draisaitl (42), and Nugent-Hopkins (31). The next nearest player has 19 points (Chiasson). Compare that to Tampa Bay with eight players with 20 or more points and three players equally over the point of the game.
If there is one area that could cause a problem for Tampa Bay, this will be the play of Mikko Koskinen. Belts & Oilers have made a sound season so far. He has a GAA of 2.18 and a Reserved percentage from .928. That's pretty good given the team in front of him. If Koskinen plays up to the level he did during the recent Oils surge, this game could be very interesting.
GAME DAY STATEMENT: Despite a valuable effort, the Oilers are simple and fall short and fall by a score of 4-2.
DOCUMENTARY GAME DAY STATEMENT: Dads were waiting all year to wear their Santa's costumes to the game and tonight at night. Live your best life, sirs.
DIM-PROTECT GAME DAY STATEMENT: As this is the last game for a while and also falls on Saturday, Rogers Place runs out of beer that encourages staff to start tunneling to Labatt's brewery. The result is a steady flow of crisis beer and an increase in taxes for your property by another 3.26%.
