CRIME OFFICER: Police news around the GTA



Toronto Police is looking for a man accused of hitting one of their officers.

Copies say, on Saturday, about 3:20 p.m., a traffic stop officer near Weston Rd. a Lawrence Ave. W.

The motorcycle started to hit the female officer in the head before running away on Weston Rd. The injuries of the officer were serious but did not threaten life.

The police are searching for Dwayne Banfield, 31, from Toronto. He has been accused of attacking a police officer that causes physical harm, escaping a legal prison, preventing the police and driving a vehicle without plate verification.

It is described as 5 feet 7 "to 5 feet 9, with a thin building and short lids. He was wearing a bucket style hat, possibly with white and blue coloring and camouflage coat with a vertical zipper on the upper left arm.

Copies are searching for witnesses to shoot in an illegal cannabis dispensary.

Hamilton Hamilton says the game takes place at 275 King St. E. just after 9 p.m. Saturday. One man was injured and was taken to hospital.

The police believe that the incident was a burglary gone off the rails. Researchers are now screening a video surveillance video and asking the public to check their video.

The police investigate the death of a pedestrian hit by a Saturday bus at the Hamilton Go Center, located at 36 Hunter St. E.

Copies say that the incident took place around 2:10 p.m. and the name of the victim was not released.
