On Monday, SGI announced new mandatory training requirements for semi-commercial drivers.
Starting March 15 next year, all drivers trying to win their Class 1 commercial license in the province will have to take part in as much as 121.5 hours training.
The new curriculum will include lessons in the classroom, both in the yard and behind the wheel and will focus on basic driving techniques, practices, vehicle checks and air brakes. The tests taken by those drivers will also be updates, with Class 1 road tests being issued solely by SGI examiners.
Another change that will be implemented March 15 is that all drivers who participate in farming operations should have their F & # 39; on their current driver's license. That approval will only be in Saskatchewan.
