Burnaby RCMP is investigating a disruptive and enthusiastic attack on a young woman inside a lift over the weekend.

The video shows a man and a woman standing inside the speaker elevator, before the sudden man starts punching and kicking the woman.

The victim falls to the floor as the man continues to attack him with more boats and steps, before carrying what appears as his phone off down the lift and run away.

In the first place, the woman said that an unknown man was not going into the elevator and attacked him.

The police now say that they believe that the man and the woman, who could have known each other just "for a short time," had spent time inside a room in the building before the assault, and have entered the elevator with each other.

The police hope that the man turns himself, but also asks anyone who knows the man in the video or has information about the attack to contact Burnaby RCMP or Crimestoppers.
