TORONTO – A man accused of killing her daughter died on his 11th birthday at the hospital on Wednesday, the police said, stating that their investigation into the woman's death has not stopped.
Roopesh Rajkumar had been hospitalized with what was described by the police as a wound discharged himself for a while after his arrest.
Her daughter, Riya Rajkumar, was the subject of Amber Alert at the end of Thursday after her father claimed to suggest her mother intended to hurt the child and herself.
Shortly after the warning was sent out, Peel's regional police knocked the door to his father's home in Brampton, Ont., And the Riya body was discovered.
Officials have not released their case for a death, and indicates that the slaughter unit will continue to investigate it.
Rajkumar was arrested by the provincial police more than 100 kilometers away in Oro-Medonte, Ont., And was accused of first degree murder.
Researchers have said that after they have passed Rajkumar into local police custody, they found that he had been injured and taken to hospital. The police and provincial guardian refused to investigate the circumstances that lead to the tight wound.
The day Riya was dead – St Valentine's Day – she was also and on her mother's birthday.
"She was so excited about her birthday, looking forward to lunch later that night," Riya's mom Priya Ramdin said in a statement on Tuesday. "I never think my daughter would not return to me."
Riya's funeral was held on Wednesday earlier.
