Ikea is a global business reorganization, see how

Ikea's Swedish company releases around 7.5,000 employees and reorganizes its global business, CNN reports.

Ingka Group, who owns and operates most Ikea stores, said on Wednesday that it broke the global workforce of around 5 per cent and switches to smaller and larger stores of online shopping opportunities.

"We realize that the retail is transformed to the extent that we have not seen in the foregoing," said Ingx Group Chief Executive, Jasper Brodin, in a statement. "With the rapid change in consumer practices, we also change by investing and developing our business to meet their needs in a new and better way," he added.

Abbreviations will mainly affect administrative and support roles. Ikea noted that fewer than 75 jobs would be taken in the United States.

The Swedish company added that the reorganization of its business could lead to the creation of 11.5,000 new jobs by opening up 30 smaller stores worldwide. Currently, Ingka owns 367 Ikea stores and employs 160,000 208,000 employees of the company.

"We will put more emphasis on improving our existing stores and take the opportunity to renew and rediscover our business in a way inspired by our history and culture," says Brodin.

Recently, Ikea opened its first store in India, planning to open another 25 in the Asian country.
