In June last year, the possibility of offering to notebook owners with Chrome OS has to insert the possibility of opening these for the dual boot with Windows 10, in a project of the name Section OS.
Since then, some information has come to the public, much of which is revealed by those who have been cleaning codes and project forums, and the most relevant is that you need at least 40GB of cache in order to benefit from the project.
However, it seems, at least at the moment, that this possibility will not reach the consumer market effectively, adding new code lines that reveal the lack of continuity of the function.
There was no specific information relating to the incentives that led to the cancellation of this project but it is assumed that one of the main reasons was how much space was needed to make the installation, something that It could exclude a lot of the devices depending on the system considering that they had little internal storage.
With this, at the moment, some users dream to use the two systems in their dead chrome books, turning their eyes and their attention to the Crostini project, which allows use Linux applications within the system signed by Google and the Android apps, which have already been embedded.
So what did you think about the cancellation? Tell us in the comments!
