O stroke (stroke) a heart disease kill less girls between the ages of 30 and 69 in the country. A study by the Ministry of Health shows that, in the period from 2010 to 2016, the death rate of stroke has decreased by 11% and heart disease, 6.2%.

Data from the Brazilian Saúde study 2018, released in the honor of International Women's Day, shows that stroke deaths have dropped from 39.5 to 35.2 per 100,000 female residents. Heart disease dropped from 55 to 51.6 deaths per 100,000.

Despite the positive numbers, the two diseases that kill the female population are aged between 30 and 69. Both can be prevented, especially by caring for risk factors such as smoking, physical inactivity, harmful use of alcohol and lack of eating.

As well as stroke and heart disease, the ministry study refers to Alzheimer's, respiratory infections and diabetes as the main causes of other deaths for Brazilian women.
