Have you started? The new hype scheme combines the best of both worlds

Now that veganism becomes mainstream, health junkies are pulling their hair to find what would be even better for the body and the mind. And simultaneously prohibit products of animal origin. The answer comes from the American doctor Mark Adam Hyman, who combines the best of two strict regimes to create a third one: the organism. It is inspired by the paleo diet of our very (very) distant ancestors and the vegan diet.

It all started with a joke. One day, Dr. Hyman, a famous doctor and contributor to the New York Times, found himself on the table, tied between a vegan and a paleo. "I only came to come," he said. And then, during the conversation that followed, the joke quickly became a concept in itself. "Veganism like paleo is two strict diets," said Dr Hyman on YouTube. "Why not take the best of these two diets and overcome their disadvantages?" This is how the organization combines the best of both worlds. "

To understand this new combo, let's summarize: veganism requires only one important rule: no products of animal origin. No meat or fish, but also no milk, cheese, butter, yoghurt, eggs, honey or gelatin. Cereals, vegetables, fruit and substitutes still exist – fish, eggs and meat.

The paleo diet is another story: we have the same menu as our ancestors from the Palaeolithic (2.5 million years to 11,700 BC), the hunter-gatherer menu. So without products have been processed: sugar, cereals, dairy products and pulses.

The paleo authorizes fish and meat, vegetables, fruit, eggs, nuts and seeds. As can be seen, the common denominator of these two diets is the vegetables: vegetables, fruit and nuts. But Dr Hyman prefers betting at the best of both: on the one hand, limiting fish and eating meat inspired by veganism and, on the other hand, foods have 39 processing of ballet.

The organism is therefore a diet full of plants that are not completely vegetarian. The basic peg base is 75% of vegetables, with good fats – nuts, seeds, olive oil, salmon, avocado … Cereals and carbohydrates are allowed, but to a limited extent and only a low glycemic index, or complete varieties full of fiber.

The pegan system also considers sustainability in production. Eggs can be eaten from time to time, as long as they do not come from battery-built chickens. The organism is not dogmatic, because we connect what we want according to what our body is tolerating well. This system is not based on knowledge : we have to know what we eat. "

Main advantage of the organization: it's easier to respect it in the long run than its two inspiration. As the first publications on parsonage appear in bookshops, supermarkets are advised to provide pegan pegs already.
