Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said four people have been arrested in connection with the Bangabandhu statue vandal in Kushtia. He said, ‘Two students came out of a local madrasa called Ibn Masood in the evening and broke the Bangabandhu statue. One of them is called Abu Bakr. The other is Nahid. Alamin and Yusuf have also been arrested.
The home minister was responding to a question from reporters at the secretariat’s own office on Sunday (December 6th).
The Home Minister said, ‘We will not allow any anarchy to be created focusing on the statue issue. The secretary general of our Awami League party has clarified the issue. Me and those of us involved in peacekeeping. We can say this – no form of anarchy is allowed in Bangladesh.
