Which training allows for rapid weight loss?
In terms of losing too many pounds, we are looking for the fastest and most effective ways to reduce our weight. This raises the question whether intense short training is more effective in losing weight compared to a long cardio exercise.
Researchers at the Federal University of Goiás in Brazil found in their recent research that it led to more effective weight loss, HIIT training or long cardio units. The experts announced the results of their study in the English magazine "British Journal of Sports Medicine".
Benefits of HIIT training
The results of the new study showed that intensive short training (HIIT training) was more effective in weight loss than moderate normal training. The health benefits of training have been studied several times in the past, with previous research coming to the conclusion that such training can accelerate metabolism. Rapid training includes short, intense exercises with short rest periods. This type of training can be used when running, swimming, cycling or in another form of cardiovascular exercise.
Data from 36 studies were evaluated
Apart from these benefits, many people think what kind of exercise is a better way of losing weight. Doctors analyzed data from more than 36 studies for their study. They score a total of 576 men and 522 women. Each of the participants in the study had different fitness levels and were between 10 and 70 years old. Each subject had trained in the relevant studies for at least four weeks. Some of the participants made quick training and other subjects doing a longer, moderate exercise for about 30 to 45 minutes each.
HIIT training led to higher weight loss
When analyzing the data, the scientists found that all participants lose weight through training, irrespective of whether they complete regular periodic training or longer training. However, subjects that did HIIT training (high intensity high speed training) had a 28.5 percent higher pressure reduction. Interactive training led to an average weight loss of 1.58 kg compared to an average weight loss of 1.13 kg in people who had moderate moderate intensity.
HIIT training is not for everyone
However, the doctors indicated that interactive training would not be an ideal form of exercise for every person. Scientists say it's important to be aware of the risks and potential constraints associated with higher intensity training. For example, such a type of exercise can increase the risk of injury and stimulate a greater cardiovascular burden.
Sprint respite training is the most effective form of weight loss
According to the results of the study, the sprint break training was the most effective form of weight loss. It has been found to be even more effective when combined with moderate regular exercises. Adults aged between 19 and 64 are advised to perform at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise per week, such as cycling or walking, in addition to strength exercises on at least two days a week. Otherwise, it is also recommended that adults combine heavy aerobic activities such as running or tuning with two strength training sessions per week for 75 minutes. (As)
