The Sun has already lived around half of his life and will not close in the next 4.5 billion years, says Vladimir Kuznetsov, director of the Earth Magnetism Institute, Ionosphere and the Wave Radio Expanding the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to Kuznetsov, the life expectancy of the Sun reaches around 10 billion years. The main star has already lived 4.5 billion years, so he has about half of his life left.
"The Sun is the main series of stars evolution (…) The time in which the star stays is the most permanent thing in its evolution, as it occupies 90% of his life ", says Kuznetsov in an interview with Sputnik.
The scientist stressed that a thermomotive reaction – the main source of energy and the sun – is constantly taking place in the stars' star.
Kuznetsov believes that solar energy will change when all the hydrogen in the Sun is burned and when the destruction of helium and other heavier chemical elements begins. According to the expert, these processes will take place in about 5,000 million years and will result in the Sun extending to Venus orbit.

As a result, the star will absorb the nearest planets, burn the Earth and start cooling, becoming a white dwarf with a radius of only 10 kilometers and colossal density. Planets such as Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will grow around this inert dwarf star.
