(CNN) – For six months now, days have grown shorter and nights have grown longer in the North Hemisphere – but that is about to reverse itself.
This year's spray will be especially special because the next day will be followed by a full moon called the Cold Moon, and you may be able to see a meteor shower to start.
First, CNN meteorologists, Dave Hennen, Judson Jones and Brandon Miller help us to understand the science behind the spray.
The science behind winter syringe
When does it happen exactly?
Usually, the syringe will take place on December 21. The time the spray takes place and the day itself can change because the sun year is not (the time it takes For the resonance of the sun in the same spot shown in the Earth) it is exactly the same as calendar year.
What causes to spray the winter even happen?
Because the Earth has swell on its rotation axis, we are experiencing seasons here on Earth. As the Earth moves around the sun, each hemisphere is experiencing winter when it is removed from the sun and summer when it is blown towards the sun.
Wait. Why has the Earth cheated?
Scientists are not sure how this happened, but they think that billions of years ago, as the solar system became shaped, the Earth was the subject of violent collisions that caused & # 39 the axle pulls.
What other seasonal transformations do we mark?
Equinocs, in the spring and fall, indicate when the sun rays are directly over the equator, where we have the same amount of day and night. The summer pressure is when the sun rays in the north are further over Cancer Drink, giving us our longest day and summer in the North Hemisphere.
So what's happening with this full moon?
However, when you look out clear on Friday night, the moon will appear full to you – and it could be so brilliant that people with a pretty good look could read it.
If you think how special this Cold Light is so close to the spray, it will be in 2029 before it happens again. So there is not one-in-a-life event, but still, you do not see this too often.
Now what about that meteoric shower?
A cafeat: The Cold Moon will be so brilliant that it could correct some of the meteors as they spread, making them harder to see them.
