A rocket will go away from Cape Canaveral in Florida on Thursday carrying Israel's Beresheet space.

The Beresheet 585-kilogram (1,290-bunn), which means "Genesis" in Hebrew, raises off the Roccon 9 rocket of the private SpaceX company of Elon Musk's magnificent entrepreneur.

Israel's craft will be installed in the Earth's orbit, then start a seven-week trip under its own power to reach the Moon and touch it down on April 11 in a large plain.

Other partners are Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Israeli space agency, and the country's Ministry of Science and Technology.
