TP-Link has launched a Wi-Fi system; a new homemade of the name of the Deco M4.
The “whole-band dual-band Wi-Fi system” consists of three mesh units providing a Wi-Fi service throughout a home, said the company.
It has been positioned as an affordable solution compared to a product that is competing with each other and will sell $ 179 (about R2,500) in the United States. At the time of writing this report, local prices were not available.
“It's one of our most exciting and friendly Wi-Fi systems to date,” said TP-Link.
The system provides a broadcast area of 5,500 square feet – 510 square meters – and can connect up to 100 devices over Wi-Fi.
It also provides seamless roaming, which means that devices stay connected to a single SSID network as you move around your home and connect to different mesh nodes.
“Finally, M4 Deco is extremely easy to set up and manage. Users can start quickly using the TP-Link Deco app for iOS or Android, ”said the company.
“The app offers a location feature that can help you find the best place to put Deco characters across your home, ensuring the best possible coverage.”

TP-Link added that the M4 Deco is also compatible with existing Deco systems, including the M9 Deco Plus and the M5 Deco.
