The chairman of Telkom Jabu Mabuza resigns


Telkom has announced that Jabu Mabuza has resigned as an independent non-executive director and chairman of the Telkom board.

The resignation is effective on May 31, 2019, and is replaced by the Moloko Seal.

The Moloko seal, independent non-executive director on the Telkom board, is the non-executive chairman of Sibanye-Stillwater Limited and has chaired the Alexander Forbes board, said Telkom.

"Jabu Mabuza has chaired the Telkom board by large times since he joined in December 2012. On departure, he will leave a strong and stable organization," said Telkom CEO Sipho Maseko.

Maseko said that the leadership of Mabuza has been extremely valuable to Telkom.
