Nigeria: Eset, Airtel New App Discovery for Smart Phone Users


A security solution company, ESET has launched a new mobile security app designed specifically for Airtel subscribers.

The ESET Country Manager, Mr. Olufemi Ake, told this during the recent launch of SEC Security Mobile, Airtel prints in Lagos recently.

He said the mobile security application would provide smartphone users with features for the prevention and management of cyber risks associated with Android mobile devices.

He said that the average smartphone users in Nigeria need to install mobile security apps on their phones, especially in this age where cyber offenders carry personal data online.

The country manager added that the first security product focused on telecommunications had been optimized for Android and also for seamless performance, as well as proactive protection.

According to Ake, "The new ESET mobile security for Airtel also welcomes new premium features such as Anti-Phishing, which protect against malicious websites trying to acquire sensitive information – users' names, passwords, banking information or credit card.

Ake, that the ESET Mobile Security product already exists globally on Google Play Store with over thirty million downloads.

He explained that the app also offers accurate detection of known and unknown mobile threats with a supply of advanced features such as anti-theft, security check, app lock, SMS filtering and phone and password, among others.
