Eskom has announced that phase 1 rotation loads will take place from 12:00 to 22:00 today.
The cuts are derived from an increase in production plants that exist for maintenance and planned and unplanned outputs, according to their website.
Eskom customers can check and when this load load will affect their areas by visiting official Eskom download-shedding web page, or by telephoning their customer contact center on 0860 037 566.
Eskom said that step 1 shift requires 1,000MW of power to be rescued across the country, and asked customers to quit geysers and unnecessary lighting and equipment.
Earlier this month, Eskom warned increasing the risk of luggage, indicating significant deterioration in coal at various power stations.
